New 2025 Toyota Corolla iM Dimensions, MPG, Colors   –  Updates have been made to the engine of the New 2025 Toyota Corolla iM, which has been a best-seller for the brand from the beginning. All gas-powered vehicles now come standard with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which was previously available only on higher trim levels. The 1.8-liter engine was the prior standard. Up until recently, this engine was reserved for higher-priced tiers. Along with the previously mentioned safety features, the L trim level has manual air conditioning, 15-inch steel wheels, and an eight-inch multimedia touchscreen as standard equipment. Several features are included as standard equipment on the LE trim level. These include heated front seats, automatic climate control, electric parking brake, 16-inch steel wheels, and a wiper de-icer. The $250 LE Upgrade package includes a power sunroof, heated steering wheel, push-button start, wireless charging, and alloy wheels with locking nuts, among other extras. A push-button start is one of the other components included in the set.

The Corolla iM’s trunk can hold a lot of stuff—its 371 liters of space make it easy to load and unload. If you need to fit very lengthy objects in the trunk, you can fold the back seats in half. Just be aware that the opening doesn’t go all the way across. The front compartment can hold a few minor things, but it’s not exactly remarkable. Engine and Performance

The current year’s LE model would have been the last to use the vehicle’s 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, which would have provided 139 hp and 126 lb-ft of torque. Its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is now standard across all trim levels, including SE and XSE. Compared to its predecessor, this engine can produce 169 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque. It is very appreciated that this improvement will provide this little car more acceleration and more passing power on the highway. Thanks to its automatic continuously variable gearbox (CVT), the power to move the front wheels comes directly from the engine. A gearless CVT pulley system, which reduces fuel consumption, takes over from the first gear in this model—a direct-shift—when you first start getting going. Whether the car is starting up from a stop or engaged in some other activity, this gives it a more traditional and snappier feel than it would have otherwise.

Corolla iM LE models equipped with the new 2.0L engine have fuel economy ratings of 7.4 L/100 km in city driving, 5.7 L/100 km highway driving, and 6.7 L/100 km combined driving, according to NRCan. The numbers came from the NRCan. Over the course of a week on the road, I averaged 7.1 liters of gas per hundred kilometers, which is consistent with the 87 octane fuel it required. In terms of combined fuel economy, the Hyundai Elantra comes in at 6.7 liters/100 km, the Honda Civic at 6.9 lbs/100 km, and the Mazda3 at 7.6 lbs/100 km. Due to its “Acceptable” rating instead of the maximum possible “Good” rating in the updated side and moderate front overlap tests—which more accurately mimic being hit by a big SUV—it was unable to earn the top-tier Top Safety Pick+ title. Several driver-support safety elements have been upgraded across all trim levels. All platforms now have these updates. As standard equipment, the second-from-base LE model level comes with a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and ten airbags. Seated roughly in the center of its competitors’ price ranges, the gasoline-only Corolla iM series starts at $24,450 and goes all the way up to $32,150. With its optional Upgrade pack, the Corolla iM LE costs $27,500 and may meet the needs of many consumers due to its affordable price and extensive list of options. The sunroof, heated steering wheel, wireless charging capability, and 18-inch wheels that were standard on my tester’s vehicle were all part of the SE Upgrade package, which is required to acquire them. Compared to the standard model, the SE has a more responsive suspension, better seat fabric, and premium headlamps and fog lights. Not only that, but this bundle also includes the SE Upgrade.
