2026 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Specs, Interior, Release date   –   The 2026 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is an improved model as a result of the modifications that have been implemented. Newer versions include better entertainment systems, driver-assist safety features, and redesigned front and back fascias. Inferno and Blue Crush are two new exterior colors offered for the XSE trim level. My tester opted for Inferno.

The XSE trim level also comes with the newly available black 18-inch wheels. The Corolla Hatchback is a Japanese-made compact car with a starting price of $25,250. The fixed delivery fee of $1,760 is not reflected in the price. The XSE, which is the one I evaluated, costs $31,650 before taxes, while the SE Plus costs $27,150, and the SE Upgrade costs $28,790. Exterior and Interior

A push-button starter, LED headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic temperature control, heated mirrors, and 15-inch steel wheels come included on the entry-level SE model, which is basically pared down. The SE Plus comes standard with heated seats, shift paddles placed on the steering wheel, and sixteen-inch alloy wheels. You may enjoy these advantages with an extra eight inches. The update brings a wireless charger, heated steering wheel, 18-inch wheels, and all the regular goodies.

The following extras were included in my ultimate XSE test vehicle: fog lights, an eight-speaker sound system, a seven-inch instrument cluster display, fabric and faux-leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system. All of those functionalities were implemented. Customers may take use of subscription services through the Corolla Hatchback’s basic multimedia system, which is new for 2026. These services can be added to your plan either temporarily or permanently, depending on your preference. The engine, a modest but powerful unit that fits the vehicle well, is ideal for this compact car. Passing other vehicles on the highway is a breeze with its enough power and silky acceleration. The Corolla Hatchback outperforms the other two cars in terms of power compared to their 2.0L engine counterparts: the Honda Civic and the Kia Forte5. Corolla Hatchback fuel economy has been graded by NRCan for various driving conditions, including city driving (7.5 L/100 km), highway travel (5.9 L/100 km), and mixed driving (6.8 L/100 km). The car’s rating is determined on its fuel efficiency. I consumed an average of 7.5 liters per hundred kilometers during the week. And it’s compatible with regular gas, too.

While its 6.8 liters per hundred kilometers of fuel consumption is equivalent to that of adjacent competitors with 2.0-liter engines and automatic transmissions, it still manages to come out on top. In comparison to the Kia Forte5 and Mazda3, the Honda Civic Hatchback has a fuel economy of 7.2 liters per hundred kilometers.

Comparable items supplied by other businesses have prices that are comparable to this one. Despite having greater prices overall, the Mazda3 starts at $25,155, making it more affordable than its competitors. Prices shown above include destination charges and start at $31,960 for a Honda Civic and $25,290 for a Kia Forte5. Even though they cost less than $100 extra, the base models of Mazda and Kia provide a wider range of features and amenities compared to the entry-level Toyota model.
