2027 Toyota Prius MSRP, Pictures, Interior – Avoiding massive gas bill expenses has always been cool, but it hasn’t always been that way. That is something that the updated Toyota Prius tries hard to change. The new Prius has 194 horsepower and front-wheel drive. There is an option for all-wheel drive, which increases horsepower somewhat to 196. While Toyota offers comparable coverage to its rivals, it goes above and above in terms of bundled maintenance. Its guarantee for hybrid components is also industry-standard. 2027 Toyota Prius MSRP
2027 Toyota Prius Redesign and Update Plan
We review the plug-in hybrid Prius Prime, which has 220-horsepower, separately. With an EPA-estimated 56 mpg highway rating, the Prius achieves higher fuel economythan ever before, making it both stylish and somewhat entertaining to drive. It has an advantage over its smaller rivals, who are catching up to the Prius gradually by introducing hybrid drivetrains. These competitors include the Hyundai Elantra and Toyota’s own Corolla, with a hybridized Honda Civic to follow soon. The Prius is a fun and stylish option that earned it a spot on our 2027 Editors’ Choice list and a 10Best Cars award for 2027. We can’t believe we’re saying this. 2027 Toyota Prius MSRP
Exterior & Interior
The fifth-generation Prius adopted a novel and, dare we say, seductive form, but the inside employed a more conventional automobile cockpit. The Prius now features a gauge cluster right behind the steering wheel for the first time, but because of its placement, you have to turn the wheel all the way down to see the readings well.
The sleek exterior design reduces the amount of headroom in the back seat by creating a roofline that is 2.0 inches lower than it was previously. The faux-leather steering wheel is included on base models, but adding the XLE or higher trim unlocks additional cup holders for rear passengers, heated back seats, and heated front seats. 2027 Toyota Prius MSRP
2027 Toyota Prius Specs
The screens on the base and higher-level models are bigger than those on the preceding vehicle. For the Limited (or as optional equipment for the XLE), Toyota employs a large 12.3-inch touchscreen in place of the usual 8.0-inch infotainment screen seen on the LE and XLE. With over-the-air upgrades, this system can update its infotainment over the cloud and has voice control via “Hey Toyota”. 2027 Toyota Prius MSRP
Engine & Performance
The Toyota Prius range is commanded by a single powerplant. A 2.0-liter hybrid inline-four gasoline engine from the Corolla Cross hybrid crossover is used in this 194-hp hybrid system, which is coupled to a continuously variable automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is the default. Toyota upgrades the back axle of Priuses with all-wheel drive to accommodate a high-output permanent magnet electric motor, increasing the vehicle’s total powertrain output to 196 horsepower.
Our testing of a front-drive Limited model shows that the Prius now reaches 60 mph in just 7.1 seconds, compared with an arduous 10.5 seconds for the previous generation. That is faster than the Elantra and Camry hybrids combined. The new Prius stops from 70 mph faster than its previous version as well, taking only 171 feet as opposed to 194 feet in a test conducted earlier, thanks to bigger front and rear brakes. 2027 Toyota Prius MSRP
2027 Toyota Prius Fuel Economy
The front-wheel-drive Prius is estimated by the EPA to get up to 57 mpg in the city and 56 mpg on the interstate. That is a 4- to 6-mpg improvement over the prior model. With its all-wheel-drive LE variant, fuel efficiency has increased from 49 to 54 mpg combined, which is the biggest increase over the previous generation. In our interstate fuel-economy test, the Prius reached 49 mpg at 75 mph. 2027 Toyota Prius MSRP

Driver-assistance technology, which many competitors only offer as part of option packages and higher trim levels, is standard on the Prius. Important safety characteristics consist of:
