2027 Toyota Highlander Interior, Configurations, Reviews
2027 Toyota Highlander Interior, Configurations, Reviews – 2027 Toyota Highlander is a good SUV. It offers a comfortable ride, lots of useful standard features and seating for up to eight people. Its powertrain is potent enough for most driving scenarios, but it can be loud when pushed. Handling is comfortable, though not engaging. On the downside, the Highlander provides less cargo room and third-row space than many of its competitors. 2027 Toyota Highlander Interior
2027 Toyota Highlander Redesign and Update Plan
The updates for 2027 are minimal. The base L trim has been discontinued, as are the Bronze editions of the Hybrid and Hybrid XLE. In their place are LE Nightshade and XLE Nightshade trims of the hybrid model. Additionally, the XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum trims now have a standard hands-free power liftgate. Toyota replaced the V-6 with a new turbocharged four-cylinder for the 2023 model year. 2027 Toyota Highlander Interior
Exterior & Interior
The base LE model (remember, the L is dropped for 2027 ) can seat eight passengers, but second-row captain’s chairs are available on XLE and above trims reducing the head count to seven. It’s worth noting that due to packaging variations, the hybrid has 2.3 inches more second-row legroom than the gas model; the gas model, however, has 1.6 inches more driver and front passenger legroom. Although the passenger space is on par or slightly more generous here than in the CX-90, the Chevrolet Traverse remains the passenger-space king, its third row offering nearly six more inches of legroom than the Highlander.
Cargo room is the same story, with only four carry-on suitcases fitting behind the Highlander’s third row compared to the Traverse’s six. Materials throughout the cabin have been improved over the previous-generation Highlander, and the design is basic but functional. Upscale Limited and Platinum models provide the most creature comforts with leather upholstery, a larger infotainment screen, ventilated seats, and more frills, but still fall short of the feature-packed Palisade and Telluride. 2027 Toyota Highlander Interior
2027 Toyota Highlander Specs
The 8.0-inch infotainment screen is sufficient for the LE and XLE, but a 12.3-inch configuration is available as an option for the XLE and is standard for the Limited and Platinum trim levels. The Platinum trim level also receives a digital gauge cluster measuring 12.3 inches, while the remaining trim levels employ classic analog instruments with a 7-inch information screen.
The standard audio system consists of six speakers, however an 11-speaker JBL audio system is available on the XSE, and it is the standard audio system on the Limited and Platinum models. Each and every model comes equipped with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa integration. Additionally, SiriusXM satellite radio is included. Beginning with the XLE model and higher, a wireless smartphone charging station is included as standard equipment. The XSE comes with navigation, and the top two trims come with it as standard equipment. 2027 Toyota Highlander Interior
Engine & Performance
The 2027 Toyota Highlander offers two engine options: a standard gas engine and a hybrid powertrain. The gasoline-powered version comes with a choice between front-and all-wheel driveand is driven by a 265-horsepower turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with an eight-speed automated transmission. Our drivers were able to slow down an all-wheel drive vehicle to a leisurely 7.2-second sprint from 0-60 mph with this much hardware. A total of 243 horsepower are generated by the Highlander Hybrid’s 2.5-liter inline-four engine and two electric motors. 2027 Toyota Highlander Interior
This hybrid has both front-and all-wheel drive options and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The hybrid Highlander can match the gas-powered vehicle’s performance with a 0.01% loss of a second from zero to sixty miles per hour, although using far less fuel. As a family chauffeur, you can’t go wrong with any model because to its stable ride and dependable handling. In addition to the Highlander Hybrid, there are a plethora of different hybrid SUVs and crossovers on the market today. These include the Ford Explorer, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mazda CX-90 PHEV, Kia Sorento, and countless more. When looking at the gas mileage of both electric utes, the Toyota comes out on top.
2027 Toyota Highlander Fuel Economy
According to EPA estimates, the gas-powered Highlander achieves 25 mpg combined, 21 mpg city, and 29 mpg highway. On the other hand, the all-wheel drive version lowers these fuel economy ratings by 1 mpg. The Highlander Hybrid’s increased fuel efficiency provides 36 city, 35 highway, and 36 combined mpg; all-wheel drive versions receive 1 mpg less in both the city and combined categories. Once we have had an opportunity to test both models on our highway fuel economy route at 75 mph, we will provide an update to this report with the results. We can only guess till that day comes. 2027 Toyota Highlander Interior
