2026 Toyota Corolla Sedan Specs, Redesign, Images   –   Despite extensive engine upgrades for the 2026 Toyota Corolla Sedan, the car has maintained strong sales for the Toyota brand. Some new features were included with these updates. All gas-powered automobiles now have the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as standard instead of the previous and more costly 1.8-liter engine. This engine was previously only available on more expensive levels. As part of its upgrade package for 2018, Toyota included driver-assist safety technology, a revamped infotainment system with subscription services, and fresh cosmetic accents.

The base price of the 2026 Toyota Corolla Sedan L is $24,450, and that figure already includes a non-negotiable delivery charge of $1,760. Regarding the starting price, there will be zero negotiating. The LE may be yours for as little as $25,450 when you test drive one. Including the $2,050 upgrade package brings the price to $27,500 before taxes. The SE is priced at $27,050, while the XSE is the most expensive at $32,150. At the same time, a hybrid version of the Corolla Sedan with all-wheel drive is now on sale.

Exterior and Interior

The L trim level comes standard with all of the aforementioned safety features, plus manual air conditioning, 15-inch steel wheels, and an eight-inch multimedia touchscreen interface. This touchscreen now has wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which were previously wired, along with satellite radio and a trial version of linked services. Additionally, it includes a missing car locator and an emergency assistance button. The LE trim level comes equipped with a number of conveniences. A wiper de-icer, 16-inch steel wheels, heated front seats, automatic climate control, and electronic parking brake are all standard features. The $250 LE Upgrade package includes a number of optional amenities, such as a power sunroof, heated steering wheel, wireless charging, push-button start, alloy wheels with locking nuts, and more. Among the other features included in the package is a push-button start.

Major changes have been made to the front and rear fascias of the somewhat revised Corolla Sedan. All trim levels also come standard with LED daytime running lights. This vehicle’s bottom grille is significantly larger than its top grille, setting it apart from comparable Toyota vehicles such as the Sienna and Venza. Compared to the top grille, the bottom one is much bigger.

Despite its awkward proportions, the smaller model boasts a stunning rear end with horizontal body lines that link the taillights and a sharp profile. In addition, its profile is very slim. An eight-inch touchscreen, which is both functional and visually beautiful, sits atop the dashboard. Engine and Performance

Up until this year, the standard engine for this LE tester would have been a 1.8-liter four-cylinder capable of producing 139 horsepower and 126 pound-feet of torque. The 2.0-liter inline-four engine is now standard across all trim levels, including the XSE and SE. The 169 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque produced by the engine are an upgrade over its predecessor. This small car really needs this update so it can accelerate faster and pass more easily on the highway. The engine might be a little loud at times, but other than that, it’s fine for everyday driving.

Because of the presence of an automated continuously variable gearbox (CVT), the front wheels are driven forward by the engine. This version, known as a direct-shift, is distinguished by its first gear that is engaged on takeoff and its fuel-efficient gearless CVT pulley system. No matter what you’re doing, this makes the car seem more traditional and quicker than it otherwise would.

The new 2.0-liter engine in the Corolla Sedan LE achieves 7.4 liters per hundred kilometers in city driving. On the other hand, it achieves 6.7 L/100 km in all weather conditions and 5.7 L/100 km on the highway. The 7.1 L/100 km I managed to get after a week on the road is in accordance with the 87 octane petrol it called for.

When compared side by side, the Hyundai Elantra achieves 6.7 liters per hundred kilometers, the Honda Civic 6.9 pounds per hundred kilometers, and the Mazda3 7.6 pounds per hundred kilometers. The vehicle was not awarded the top safety pick+ classification since its rating was deemed “Acceptable” rather than the highest attainable “Good” due to the fact that the new side and moderate front overlap tests more properly mimic the impact of a large SUV. This disqualifies it from receiving the highest honor.

All vehicles now come standard with an improved array of driver-assistance safety features. You can now get these updates on all platforms. Included in this category are adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing help, automatic high-beam headlights, road sign recognition, emergency front braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering aid, and many more. Ten airbags, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning, and a rearview camera are standard on the LE, the second-from-base model level. With a price range of $24,450–$32,150, gasoline-powered Corolla sedans are in the center of the group. Hyundai Elantras are the most affordable at $22,224 to $31,674 (not including destination charges). Mazda3 prices range from $24,260 (not including destination charges) from the base level all the way up to $34,460 for the top trim level, making them marginally cheaper than the Corolla Sedan. With its comprehensive feature set and reasonable price tag of $27,500 (with the optional Upgrade pack), the Corolla Sedan LE is likely to satisfy the needs of many customers. My tester’s vehicle came standard with 18-inch wheels, a sunroof, heated seats, and wireless charging capability—all of which are part of the SE Upgrade package. A more responsive suspension, premium headlights, fog lights, and better seat fabric are part of the SE upgrade that follows the base model. The SE Upgrade is also a part of this package.
