Simple is good, and the Camry le is simple. The infotainment and climate systems, housed in their asymmetrical center stack frame, are easy to use. Hard buttons are used to bring up options on the screen, and huge icons are tapped once they are displayed. The dual-zone climate control has knobs to regulate the temperature; however, I would much like have a dial for the fan speed as opposed to a toggle. Simple controls are also found on the steering wheel. The Camry le’s wide opening doors and shallow sill make getting in and out of the car simple. In order to load groceries or other cargo, you don’t need to lift it as high because the trunk lift-over is rather modest and out.

Although it has an eight-speed automatic transmission, the sportier XSE version’s paddle shifters allow you to manually change speeds if you’d rather. Furthermore, the Camry Le is limited to front-wheel drive and is offered with V6 or hybrid drivetrains.

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has officially evaluated the Camry le XSE AWD at 9.5 L/100 km in the city, 7.0 L/100 km on the highway, and 8.4 L/100 km when driven in mixed mode. I performed better than the previous figure, averaging 8.2 L/100 during the course of my week. Among its AWD sedan competitors, the Camry le XSE has the highest official combined rating (8.4 L/100 km), although the others are all rather close.
